It is well-known that Split needs a new hospital. The current hospital serves an area of over 800,000 people, and during the summer, that number increases to over 1.5 million. Unfortunately, the capacity of the existing hospital is insufficient. Additionally, there is a chronic shortage of nurses and other medical staff in the city.
Split is also recognized for its brilliant citizens and passionate Hajduk supporters, who often come up with innovative ideas.
Given that Osijek is in the process of building a new hospital for 850 million euros, the Hajduk supporters, as determined as they are, have decided not to let this opportunity pass. They will urge the government to invest in a new Health Center. Thanks to Split’s favorable climate, the hospital will be designed like a stadium, allowing doctors to perform surgeries in the sun when there are no football matches. What a clever idea! Bravo to the mayor, the citizens, and the Hajduk supporters!
